Abstract

The Ayurvedic perspective on health underscores the interconnectedness of the body and mind, with gut health playing a pivotal role in this dynamic relationship. Ayurveda conceptualizes the gut as the epicenter of health, governed by Agni (digestive fire) and the balance of Doshas (bodily energies). This review explores the Ayurvedic understanding of gut health and its profound correlation with mental well-being. By integrating traditional knowledge with modern scientific insights, the article highlights how Ayurvedic interventions such as diet, herbs, and lifestyle practices can address gut-related imbalances and their psychological manifestations. The findings underscore the relevance of Ayurveda in advancing a holistic approach to health and well-being.
