The concept of Srotas (channels) in Ayurveda is foundational to understanding human anatomy, physiology, and pathology. Srotas represent pathways for the transportation of substances essential for maintaining homeostasis and health. This review explores the ancient descriptions of Srotas in classical Ayurvedic texts and correlates them with the structural and functional perspectives of modern anatomy and physiology. Key findings include a parallel between Srotas and vascular, lymphatic, and other transport systems. Applied aspects of Srotas in diagnostics and therapeutics, such as Panchakarma and disease management, are also discussed. The review concludes with suggestions for integrating Ayurvedic and modern approaches to enhance clinical outcomes.
