Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a transformative force across various domains, including healthcare and legal systems. While its applications in diagnostics, treatment planning, and administrative workflows are well-recognized, its role in the medicolegal domain, particularly when aligned with the principles of Ayurveda, remains underexplored. Medicolegal practices involve a critical interface of medicine, law, and ethics, addressing challenges such as medical negligence, forensic investigations, and bioethics. Ayurveda, with its rich jurisprudential insights and ethical framework, offers unique perspectives that can complement AI-driven solutions. This review critically examines the integration of AI in medicolegal practices, focusing on its potential to harmonize with Ayurvedic principles to address contemporary challenges. The paper explores AI’s applications in forensic toxicology, malpractice evaluations, and medicolegal documentation, emphasizing its ability to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and fairness. Ethical and regulatory challenges, such as algorithmic biases and patient confidentiality, are discussed in light of Ayurvedic ethical guidelines, particularly Sadvritta (ethical conduct) and physician confidentiality.[1],[2]
