One of the dhatu kshyajanya vata vyadhi is Sandhivata. It's an age-related condition. It can be associated with osteoarthritis based on the symptoms. It is a non-inflammatory, multifactorial degenerative disease. Vata is the primary cause of Sandhivata, and practically all classical books describe it in detail. An attempt has been made to control sandhivat in relation to osteo-arthritis in the current study, which is titled A pharmaco-therapeutic study of Ashwagandha [Withania somnifera(Linn.) Dunel] and Amrita [Tinospora cardifolia(wild.) miers]. This present study aim to find a method of treatment to symptomatic relief without any side effect. The goal of the current study is to compare the effects of the three groups: Ashwagandha churna (Group-A), Amrita satva (Group-B), and the combined effects of Ashwagandha and Amrita satva (Group-C). The Ashwagandha from Group-A is more effective than that from Group-B. (Amrita). Nevertheless, Group-C (Ashwagandha + Amrita) demonstrated greater efficacy in treating patients than either Group-A or Group-B.
