Approximately 529 million people are affected globally by diabetes, which accounts for 6.1%. Despite the complexities in the relationship between vestibular apparatus stimulation and endocrine disorders, researchers are exploring possible interventions to treat diabetes. One such method that has gained recognition in treating diabetes is vestibular stimulation. We reviewed the potential pathways that can contribute to controlling glucose levels, either by stimulating the release of insulin or by other mechanisms that can alleviate stress. We gathered evidence to support the use of vestibular stimulation as a potential intervention to prevent or delay the development of diabetes in high-risk populations, and it may be considered as an adjunctive treatment in the management of diabetes mellitus.
