Abstract

The rapid growth of India's IT sector has heightened the importance of effective talent acquisition, with e-recruitment emerging as a crucial tool. However, research on e-recruitment's impact on employee performance in this context remains limited. This study examines the relationship between e-recruitment practices and employee performance in Indian IT companies, focusing on diversity, quality, ease of use, and time-saving aspects. Data collected from 427 HR professionals in top Indian IT firms were analyzed using structural equation modelling. Results revealed a significant positive impact of e-recruitment on employee performance (β = 0.929, p < 0.001), with diversity and time-saving aspects showing the strongest influence. These findings suggest that HR managers should invest in sophisticated e-recruitment systems that promote diversity and efficiency, optimizing talent acquisition strategies to enhance employee performance and drive organizational success in the competitive IT landscape. This research contributes to the understanding of e-HRM practices and their outcomes in emerging economies, offering practical insights for IT sector HR professionals.
