Purpose: The purpose of the study is to identify the main contribution in the evolution of this topic, so that researchers can use it in their theoretical frameworks and research. The aim of this study is to summarise the research on physical disability related studies conducted over the past decade and to identify research gaps for further examination. The sum of citations, keywords, writers, journals, institutes, and countries are examined in this research.
Design/Methodology/Approach: Researches on the issue of disability are gaining traction in recent times. The information gathered is extracted from the main collection of Scopus. VOSviewer software and bibliometrix package on R software are used to perform initial analysis and citation analysis, co-citations, bibliographic coupling, co-authoring among others. This study presents advances associated with the main authors, journals and countries, the general and annual citation structure and the development of this field. Syntax for the search on Scopus was ( TITLE-ABS-KEY ( Students AND With AND Physical AND Disability ) OR TITLE-ABS-KEY ( Physical AND Disability AND Studies ) OR TITLE-ABS-KEY ( Physical AND Disability AND In AND Higher AND Education ) ) AND ( LIMIT-TO ( OA , "All" ) ) ( LIMIT-TO ( PUBYEAR , 2022 ) OR LIMIT-TO ( PUBYEAR , 2021 ) OR LIMIT-TO ( PUBYEAR , 2020 ) OR LIMIT-TO ( PUBYEAR , 2019 ) OR LIMIT-TO ( PUBYEAR , 2018 ) OR LIMIT-TO ( PUBYEAR , 2017 ) OR LIMIT-TO ( PUBYEAR , 2016 ) OR LIMIT-TO ( PUBYEAR , 2015 ) OR LIMIT-TO ( PUBYEAR , 2014 ) OR LIMIT-TO ( PUBYEAR , 2013 ) ) OR ) AND ( LIMIT TO( DOCTYPE , "Ar" ) ) AND ( LIMIT-TO ( SUBJAREA , "SOCI" ) ) AND ( LIMIT TO ( LANGUAGE , "English" ) ) AND ( LIMIT-TO ( SRCTYPE , "J" ) ). We got 874 search results, out of which 503 qualified for our research on the basis of relevance to the topic.Originality/Value: The paper fulfills an identified need to understand the challenges posed and the opportunities being made available to Students with Physical Disability by undergoing a very deep and detailed analysis of articles published in this area. The present study contributes to the body of knowledge by giving thorough evidences relating to published work that is listed on Scopus in the area of disability.
