Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a group of metabolic disorders characterized by hyperglycemia. According to several studies, it is noticed that diabetic patients have undiagnosed anemia. Aim of our study to determine the prevalence of anemia in patients with Diabetes mellitus.

Materials and Method: This study was conducted through clinical and laboratory assessments at the Department of Biochemistry and Department of Pathology.

Results: A total of 90 Diabetes mellitus patients and 90 Normal Control were involved in this study. Among Diabetes mellitus, 54.44% were males and 45.55% were females; while 48.88% males and 51.11% were females in Normal Control.
