BACKGROUND- Autism spectrum disorder which is a prevalent highly heritable, and diverse neurodevelopmental disorder with underlying cognitive characteristics, generally referred to as autism, frequently co-occurs with other conditions. A 6-year-old boy who had been unwell since infancy was brought to the Rehabilitation. His gross motor skills were the primary cause of his motor problems, and his parents sought physiotherapy treatment because they were concerned about his ability to walk. He experienced one seizure episode when he was one year old. When he was 1 year 4 months old, his parents noted that he was doing things later than other kids his age. Asymmetrical volume loss of both cerebral hemispheres and changed signal intensity foci in the coronaradiata next to the left frontal periventricular of the deep white matter of both occipital lobes are revealed by brain MRI. Multiple enlarged bilateral cervical lymph nodes (right more than left) were discovered on neck ultrasonography, exhibiting aggregation and loss of the central fatty hilum. The cervical abscess was incised and drained through the posterior neck at the age of 1 year 7 months. After that, it was suggested that he receive physiotherapy. The study found that after physiotherapeutic therapies, specifically NDT combined with Frenkel’s exercise, people with autism spectrum disorder showed improvements in gross motor function and coordination. The study's findings supported the use of NDT in practice in combination with Frenkel’s exercise to achieve better results. To improve patient outcomes, it can therefore be added to the daily physiotherapy treatment plan.
