The purpose of this study is to gain an understanding of the actual implementation of motivational strategies employed by teachers to motivate their students in learning. The study utilized a descriptive-normative survey. A questionnaire adapted from Dörnyei, Z. (2001) ‘Motivational Strategies in the Language Classroom’ was used to collect the data. Some items were modified from the original questionnaire to better suit the study population. The sample for the study consisted of 332 teachers. The sampling strategy adopted was a combination of proportionate stratified sampling and snowball sampling. Statistical tools such as mean, standard deviation, and z-test were used to analyze and interpret the data.
