Abstract

New azo- containing and azo-metal complex derivatives of gatifloxacin were synthesized with an aim to increase its pharmacological activity and decrease the bacterial resistance. Many types of metals can be used to form these complexes like Zn+2 , Cu+2, Ag+2 , Zn+2, Mn+2. We used silver ion in this research. The stretchingucture of the resultant was validated by using FT-IR, and some of the physicochemical properties research was done by using (MOE) and it was noticed that the synthesized compound showed a high affinity to the target site in topoisomerase enzyme. These results were compatible with invitro biological study.
