Abstract
Constipation is one of the most common digestive disorders today, characterized by infrequent bowel movements, pain, and stiffness. It primarily affects the digestive system and can impact individuals of all age groups. Common causes of constipation include a lack of a fiber-rich diet, insufficient water intake, inadequate physical activity, prolonged use of medications, aging, and underlying health conditions. Regular use of pharmaceutical drugs and chemical-based laxatives can disrupt the body's natural mechanisms and negatively impact digestive health.
Natural plant-based products rich in fiber, melatonin, and anthraquinones play a crucial role in the prevention and management of gastrointestinal disorders. Ayurveda emphasizes a holistic approach to treating constipation, advocating the use of herbal formulations. Ayurvedic treatment for constipation focuses on lifestyle modifications and a nutritious diet to enhance metabolic function and promote overall digestive well-being.
