This study focused on the synthesis and characterization of the novel Co (II) 2,9,16,23-tetra(4-chlorophenyl) imino-phthalocyanine utilizing various spectroscopic techniques, involving FTIR, UV-Visible, XRD, and TGA analysis. The synthesized phthalocyanine's photocatalytic activity was assessed under LED light with the use of harmful dyes including methyl orange, methyl red, eosin yellow and Congo red. The antibacterial activity of the complex was further examined. The evaluation's outcome illustrates the efficacy of these innovative phthalocyanines as highly effective photocatalytic and antibacterial materials suitable for water remediation.
