Abstract

Background: Transvaginal sonographic cervical length has been shown, by various examinations, to be a preferable indicator of Cesarean delivery over Bishop Score in ladies going through induction of labor, yet this finding has not been accounted for reliably.
Objectives: Our study was aiming to identify the proper criteria of the candidate, which can go for successful induction of labour.
Methods: This is planned study was led on 100 ladies who took care of Kasr Alainy maternity Hospital between April 2020 December 2021. Patients were subjected to Bishop Score, trans-vaginal sonographic cervical length measurement and induction of labor as appropriate.
Results: In our study, 92% had successful induction of labor is reached second stage of labor, which ended by successful vaginal delivery in 89% & 3% remaining who failed to deliver vaginally were delivered by C.S. Modified Bishop Score and cervical length showed statistical significance (P value 0.001).
Conclusion: In our investigation, we discovered modified Bishop Score and trans-vaginal cervical length are great prognostic value for an effective induction of labor in full term pregnant women.
