Background : In homeopathy, the entire range of symptoms that the patient presents—referred to as the "acute totality" in cases of acute conditionsDepending on the symptoms and underlying causes, a variety of homeopathic remedies can be used to treat myalgia, or muscular discomfort. Since homeopathy emphasizes personalized care, the choice of remedy will rely on the individual's general health as well as the particulars of their suffering.
Methodology : Total 30 cases are included for the study are symptom of DOMS diagnosed with Myalgia, based on the criteria and guidelines. Soreness severity had been calculated by using numerical rating scale at the beginning of the study as well as at the end of the study.
Result : Outcome assessment was done using scale before and after intervention. Statistical analysis was done using Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and results were found to be statistically significant i.e acute totality prescribing is helpful in treating patients with Myalgia . Before the treatment, the median (IQR) Pain score was 6.00(3.25) i.e. moderate pain. After treatment, the median (IQR) Pain score significantly reduced to 1.50(1.25)i.e. mild pain. Conclusion; We reject Ho and conclude that there is a significant reduction in pain after treatment. Hence Homoeopathic intervention (treatment and/or prophylaxis, individualized) is effective in reducing the pain of patients having symptoms of DOMS diagnosed with Myalgia
