Abstract

Dengue fever, a viral disease transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes, remains a significant global health challenge, particularly in tropical and subtropical regions. Laurus nobilis essential oil has demonstrated encouraging potential against dengue virus in the hunt for natural antiviral agents. This study uses different concentrations of Laurus nobilis essential oil extracts to examine their anti-dengue activity in vitro on Vero cells. The findings show an increase in anti-dengue activity that is dose-dependent. The results were consistent and dependable. These findings imply that the essential oil of Laurus nobilis has the potential to act as a natural antiviral agent.
