Parenting Style And Adolescents: A Theoretical Base

Abstract

Parents exert a significant impact on the development and formation of the behaviour of teenagers. From this viewpoint, acknowledges a prominent clinical and developmental psychologist who is widely recognized for her research on parenting styles. Three parenting styles can be categorized based on how demanding and responsive parents are: authoritarian parenting, permissive parenting, and authoritative parenting. This article seeks to establish a theoretical base of types of Parenting Styles, their various types and their advantages and disadvantages.
