Abstract
Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is defined as a strain that is resistant to a large group of antibiotics called β lactams, which includes Penicillin and Cephalosporin. It is also resistant to commonly used antibiotics including Aminoglycosides, Chloramphenicol, Ciprofloxacin, Erythromycin & Tetracycline.[1]
