Abstract

The incidence of Autism is drastically increasing in the last few decades with a ratio of 1 in 250 children in the last few decades. Autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder presenting with problems in communication, poor eye contact, repetitive behaviour, avoiding eye contact or hand shaking, unable to make small talks, doesn’t understand nonverbal signs, unable to express their feelingsetc. Almost two third of the people remain dependent on others throughout their life. The risk of epilepsy is very high in ASD. Autism carries a variable prognosis with increased mortality rate in first 30years of life. The entire spectrum of Autism includes altered behaviour patterns and abnormal mental state. Hence homoeopathic remedies can able to create an excellent impact on the life of Autism children. This study aimed to analyse the effectiveness of Homoeopathic remedies in the treatment of ASD. Autism severity scale ISAA was used as a tool in analysing the prognosis. From the statistical and symptomatic t it is concludedthat the Homoeopathic treatment can correct the altered behaviour patterns in children with ASD along with speech and cognitive development.
