Abstract
Wrestling is a physically demanding sport that requires strength, agility, and endurance, making athletes susceptible to various injuries. The purpose of this study is to explore the role of physiotherapy in preventing sports injuries among wrestlers by examining specific techniques and interventions. This research adopts a mixedmethods approach, combining quantitative analysis of injury prevalence and types with qualitative insights from expert physiotherapists. A comprehensive review of existing literature, along with interviews and surveys, was conducted to identify key physiotherapy practices that contribute to injury prevention. The study highlights techniques such as proprioceptive training, flexibility exercises, strength conditioning, and balance training as essential components in reducing the risk of common injuries like sprains, strains, and dislocations. Additionally, the implementation of personalized rehabilitation programs tailored to the needs of individual wrestlers is shown to enhance recovery and prevent future injuries. The findings underscore the importance of incorporating physiotherapy into the training regimens of wrestlers to maintain optimal health and performance. This research not only emphasizes the critical role of physiotherapists in sports injury prevention but also provides actionable insights for coaches and athletes to enhance their training practices. Future studies are encouraged to explore the long-term effects of specific physiotherapy interventions on injury rates and athletic performance.
