Abstract
To study of the combined efficacy of foam rolling and stretching on functional outcome in plantar fasciitis.
Material and Methodology: Subjects with clinically confirmed plantar fasciitis, aged 18 to 60, participated in the study. Sixty people in all were chosen using the practical random sample technique. They were split up into two groups, with thirty participants in each. Group B received a combination of conventional treatment plus foam rolling and stretching, while Group A received only conventional treatment. The Foot Function Index pain and activity scale and the Visual Analogue Scale for heel pain were used for the pre-assessment. Following protocol completion, a post-assessment was conducted.
Result: Paired t-test was used to analysis the comparison between conventional treatment and combined effect of foam rolling and stretching with conventional treatment.
Conclusion: It was seen that subjects who were treated with combined foam roller and stretching with conventional treatment had significantly improvement and statistically improvement in VAS and FFI.
