Abstract
Through this research activity showing the anti fungal activity of lycopodium clavatum mustard hair oil against Candida albicans by cup plate method.
Methodology: Homoeopathic medicated hair oil prepared by mixing the lycopodium clavatum Q in mustard oil as an vehicle as definite proportion i;e (1:9). In-vitro antifungal activity of the sample formulations were determined by cup- plate method/ Agar well diffusion assay.
Results: Prepared Lycopodium clavatum Mustard oil, in which Lycopodium clavatum Q were procure from Z Homoeopathic Pharmaceutical company shows inhibition zone in Candida albicans at 50 microlitre is no results, at 100 microlitre is 4.3±0.26. In Staphylococcus aureus, X Homoeopathic Pharmaceutical company shows inhibition zone at 100 microlitre is 3.13±0.11 and In E. coli Lycopodium clavatum Q were procure from Y Homoeopathic Pharmaceutical company shows inhibition zone in E. coli at 100 microlitre is 3.36±0.15.
Conclusion: lycopodium clavatum mustard hair oil shows anti fungal activity against candida albicans and anti microbial activity against E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus.
