Abstract
Hemorrhoids are a common medical condition and are due to straining or increased intra-abdominal pressure. There are four grades of hemorrhoids. Surgery is the standard treatment for grade 3 hemorrhoids. In this study, we compare two different procedures, both which can be performed in a rural setup without the need for extra ordinary instruments. milligan-morgan’s open hemmoroidectomy and chivate’s transanal suture mucopexy were the two procedures. And we concluded that the post-surgical pain was lower with chivate’s procedure and the time taken to perform the same surgery was longer.
