Abstract
RCT study is done on 100 arthritis clients to know the effectiveness of ginger oil massage on arthritis with knee pain among arthritis patients. Patients were selected by using a purposive sampling technique. Pain was assessed by using 10-point pain scale then ginger oil is applied for 6 days, then pain was assessed using pain scale. In demographical variables Majority of people is from 60-69 age were 37(37%) people, more then 39(39%) male people, 45 (45%) were primary education, maximum people 46 (46%) were from less than Rs. 10,000/- income, 65 (65%) were Hindu, 57 (57%)were having mixed diet, 97(97%) were married, 56 (56%) diagnosed as arthritis.
The effect of study shows that mean score before study were 6.52 and posttest is 4.56, standard deviation difference is 4.08. and significance at level of posttest. The pre- and post-test findings for arthritis clearly reveal a statistically significant change, demonstrating the usefulness of ginger oil in reducing pain in those with arthritis. Hence ginger oil massage proved to be affective.
